The main slate of Sectionals tourneys takes place this weekend. Here are a few select tourneys that are worth paying attention to.

For the first time since the nation was divided into eight Regions instead of just five, every Region should get two bids this season. The Southwest last season, the Central before it, the South for several seasons, and even the mighty Northwest have all agonized through seasons with only one Bid.

Last weekend I used SoCal open sectional being hosted in Claremont as an excuse to make it down south and visit my alma mater and catch up with some non-frisbee friends. Well, I know you're probably not here to read about me chillin' at Mudd, so here goes that sectionals scouting reports thing.

The first weekend of the UPA College Series is in the books, and Florida and Arizona have taken their first step toward Boulder, while Ohio State and Pennsylvania have built some momentum toward picking off two more of the sixteen spots. The second weekend offers an extravaganza of events from east to west.

This weekend kicks off the official start of the College Series. The So Cal and Washington/BC Sectionals are two of the strongest in the nation this year and feature teams that are in the mix for the title. The South Section features three teams that were national-caliber last year and find themselves in the new position of being the challengers.

This weekend is the God Father 2 of ultimate tournaments, Centex. There was talk of power pools and what not but I am glad to see that the TD's have gone back to the original 4 pools of 6 format that we have all come to love and hate. There are a lot of ways I could potentially put together a preview and I thought I would go with what games I am actually going to watch and why.

The club men's ultimate Frisbee team, the "Gentlemen's Club", is set on breaking the stereotype that club sports can't be competitive.
