Why Jolian Dahl should be the next Callahan winner

Now that most of the teams at Nationals have been figured out and the Callahan candidates have all been finalized, I thought now would be a good time to throw in my two cents as to who are the stronge

A few thoughts on the results of the 2008 Women's Callahan. Let the controversy begin.

A quick overview of possibly Callahan winners for the 2008 college season.

Well i think this is as good a time as any to hit up some names that i think should be in the callahan discussion.

Every team in a Region gets to vote for the seven players that make it on to the All-Region teams, so everyone knows that if a player is on an All-Region team, she commanded the attention and respect of her regional rivals. For the 2008 season, there are 18 players across the country that have been recognized as All-Region caliber (some more than once!).

Generally speaking, I try to balance the need to keep tabs on my man while simultaneously following the disc by using my peripheral vision, or in some cases, my hearing (the "clap" of a disc being caught is as good an indication as any that the disc has moved, not to mention the stall count).

Seven on seven, can't move when you have the disc, and the field is setup like a football field with two end zones. A simple and fun game, that can get extremely complex when skill, weather and strategy are factored in.

In baseball, the rarest two things are the triple-play and a perfect game. In Ultimate Frisbee, the rarest plays are the "Callahan" and the "Greatest."
