As many of you know, the UPA has been experimenting with the role of Observers at several college and club tournaments as part of its strategic plan. The role of Observers, or more generally, of any type of “officials” in our sport, has long been a contentious one.

Women's College Centex is centered around two things: competition and community. While a few teams remain at the top of the food chain, competitive games happened across the board and a number of up-and coming teams proved their worth as contenders for a bid to Nationals.

There are several ways to mix it up on offense so as to keep the defense honest. You can run different stacks, you can vary the emphasis on the long game, you can run set plays and counters, you can try motion offense or you can be deliberate, and other variations. How much do higher level teams do this and what form does this take?
