[W]e asked several members of Downtown Brown, a touring Ultimate team comprised of players from many minority backgrounds. Besides being phenomenal players, this team plays in tournaments like Fools West and Potlatch as a way to make issues of race more accessible and to foster discussion in our community.

Lou Burruss, coach of Oregon Fugue, provides his account of 2009 Nationals.
The State of HS Ultimate in the US
Nice breakdown of the advancement of ultimate at the high school level. "I was poking around score reporter and i figured it would be interesting to look at a map of the current state of high school ultimate in the US."
iUltiStats Beta Testing - Thoughts.
I've finally finished a beta of my ultiStats iPhone app...I'm looking for you to find bugs in the program, suggest design changes that might make it easier to use or look better, or even suggest features that I have not considered that you might like to see.
Force Flick: Nationals - Stanford
Stanford was a game filed some of the most intense highs I’ve experienced in frisbee. Stanford kept things close early on, like most teams. We had our first break at 4-3 and then continued on a 5-2 run to go up 9-5. Stanford was the first team to punish us with their handler offense. They rarely throw downfield to cutters save for Tom James – their Callahan nominee.
The Need for Better Scorekeeping - Thoughts.
We need more descriptive score keeping than the simple "X-X" final total. In much the same way that baseball scores by innings, or tennis has set-by-set counts (or really any sport has at least some temporal division), ultimate needs something more robust to help keep the fan clued in.
The Huddle | The Comeback
You're down 11-7, game to 15. You're defense needs to score four times to tie the game up. How do you manage a comeback? How do you call lines? What do you tell yourself and your players?
The Huddle | The Layout Block
You've trained, you've watched film, and you know your opponent. Maybe you've been waiting all game, all season, or your entire Ultimate life to take a layout block from that player in a big game. Like hitting a walk-off home-run. Like marching around your hometown with the Stanley Cup in your Radio Flyer.
Rerun: Rules for cutting
Rules for cutting was originally posted on July 7, 2005. This was a more concrete set of rules than the famous rules of "take what they give you, fake them into giving you what you want, fake until they give you something."
The BEST drill for players at all levels
There are a handful of drills that I frequently use while coaching but none of them do I use more frequently and that have a higher return on time spent than the three-person marking drill.
