From the first point in the Regional finals on Sunday, it was easy to tell that things were
just a little bit different for Chain Lightning in this year’s UPA Series. The team from Atlanta brought home its first Regional victory in three years with a 15-10 over Texas’ Doublewide.
Teams want the chance to showcase their strengths as well expose their weaknesses before they make their Sarasota run. However, I would not be surprised if the winner this weekend was playing late in Florida.
Revolver's 2007 season ended abruptly. In Stevinson, a blast of the cap horn sent Rhino to Sarasota and Revolver back to the Bay Area with nothing to show for a year where they had hoped to build on their 5th place finish in 2006.
So Cal States came and went this weekend and it is nice to see that some elite teams are starting to beat the crap out of each other.
One of the easiest way to improve your college ultimate game during the offseason is to participate in summer leagues during the summer and on club teams during the fall.
